Kalamata, our
city, is in Messenia, South Peloponnese, Greece.
It has about
85,000 people although during the day, more than 120,000 people work and
circulate in the city.
It is by the
sea and it has wonderful beaches, very clean and warm waters. It is free to
swim everywhere but there are also numerous cafès and restaurants along the beach
where you can have brunch, lunch or supper in the evening.
In Kalamata
and in the region of Messenia you can go sightseeing as there are lots of ancient monuments,
castles and museums, the most important of which are the city of Ancient
Messeni and the Palace of Nestor, the wise King of Pylos who took part in the

There are
lots of activities that young people can do in Kalamata such as horse riding,
tennis, golf, sailing, and all kinds of sports.
